Course 311 - CW Test Transmitter Setup And Operation

Scope

This one-day seminar demonstrates the installation and operation of the Grayson Electronics GMT20TX test transmitter and Wireless Measurement Instrument using SpectrumTracker software for measurement data collection. It demonstrates all key product features and user techniques. At the conclusion of this presentation, users should be able to set up test transmitters, collect mobile propagation data, and perform basic checks to verify the integrity of the collected data.  Other courses in this series explain the principles and techniques used in interpretation and analysis of the collected data, and considerations for selecting final sites from available candidate locations based on data analysis.

Target Audience

Engineers and technicians responsible for initial RF system design, System Growth RF Engineering, and/or CDMA System Performance Optimization.

Course Presentation Setting and Methods

This course requires both a classroom setting and a vehicle for drive-test demonstrations. Hardware is introduced in the classroom, then installed by the class participants at a friendly site and test vehicle. All class members participate in test site setup and demonstration test drives for first-hand familiarity with principles, techniques, and procedures. Collected data is examined in a “post-mortem” at the conclusion of class.
